I’m writing today for my friends over at The Meaning of the Movie podcast. This is a podcast that digs deep into the meaning of various movies, which is something I am all about.

A few weeks ago, they they discussed “Titanic.” While I agreed with most of the thoughts they shared, there was something about the seminal question - is “Titanic” a romantic movie or an important movie - that felt off to me.

So I head on over to their website to read why I think the question is fundamentally flawed and why we need way more big budget romantic movies.
