A couple years ago, I deleted the Twitter app from my phone. I didn’t delete my account, but when I don’t have apps, I don’t visit sites. It was rough when I first left, but I haven’t really missed it. You’ve been on it. It’s not great.
But Twitter WAS a place where I could connect with other writers and get my writing out to a larger audience. As I’ve been writing here regularly, I was tempted, a little, to get back to Twitter. And then King Twit labeled Substack as a suspicious site. Cool.
But today, Substack lauched a bit of a clone called Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there! I have derped around a bit there today and it was pretty fun. Here’s one of my posts from Notes.
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I will use it as a place to promote my newsletter, but also to engage a bit more with other writers and readers.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to MacGuffin or Meaning: Entertainment Newsletter, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of MacGuffin or Meaning: Entertainment Newsletter can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
