I think the last episode I watched was the one where BoJack gets with Sarah Lynn. It was disturbing 😳 but I also know that this show doesn’t shy away from making us look at dark subjects thru the lens of dark humor. I keep wanting to get back into it because I like Will Arnett’s humor and think this show is more than it seems and because you think it’s worth it. Just having a hard time with recommitting.

The first time I tried to watch it, that was probably about where I noped out as well. I usually bail on shows that don’t interest me after about 3-4 episodes, and the truth is, BoJack takes a long time to settle in. Episode 8 is a major turning point, and even then, I don’t think I fell in love with it until season 3 (though if you make it all the way through season 1, you can definitely see it’s value). There’s a part of me that wants to tell people to go watch “Free Churro” or “Time’s Arrow” first, just to see how spectacular it gets, and then start with that in mind.

But I get the difficulty committing to a show that doesn’t fully hit its stride (on a first watch) until three seasons in. Subsequent watches show you the path was always there, but it’s hard to navigate the first time.
