We did it again, bebes! The longest month of the year is more than half over! Here are a couple fun things to enjoy through the weekend.
Ted Lasso Teaser Trailer - Obvi this was going to be at the top of my list. My husband and I were talking on Monday night about how we were surprised that we didn’t have a release date or trailer for the third season yet, and then I opened up Instagram on Tuesday and there it was! The signs are perfect, the one spoken line is perfect, and Phil Dunster’s tweet has me absolutely stoked for March 15!
Matthew Paul Turner’s JESUS post - That I am still writing at all is due at least in part of Matthew’s encouragement. He has been a constant friend for more than a decade and his writing has always been some of my favorite. He is largely known now for his excellent children’s books, but posts like this are how I got to know him. His Substack is a must-read.
Soup Dumplings - When my husband and I would go north to Pittsburgh to see a movie in IMAX or just to get away for a sec, one of our favorite restaurants to visit is Everyday Noodles, where they hand make noodles and dumplings right in front of you as you eat. It’s where I was introduced to soup dumplings and they are the best. Well, targeted ads had my number and sent me to XCJ where they sell frozen soup dumplings for those of us who are too intimidated to try to make their own. And while they’re not as good as the ones made right in front of you, they are pretty dang good. (This is not sponsored content - they’re just yummy!)
Shrinking - When we saw that Brett Goldstien was creating a new show starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, we were in. And honestly, it’s lovely. Grief is a subject I feel strongly about, having written a book about the subject a few years ago, and this show tackles it with humor and honesty. If you have Apple TV+, it’s worth checking out.
What are you enjoying this week? Let me know! Have an awesome weekend!
Am liking Shrinking though shows like this also have me scratching my head at how much support Jason Segal has from friends and colleagues who are tending to his daughter and giving her love and warmth to make up for his inability at times. I just I guess am jealous? Like do people have this??
Also I heart soup dumplings big time
