I thought that score was terrific and that its abrasiveness was really what pushed me into remembering, "Oh yeah, this IS a satire." Upsetting, disturbing, and solid film, nonetheless.
Yeah, it definitely helps give those "Lifetime Originals" vibes that I think it was going for. I just don't know that I felt like the satire worked super well in this. The tone just felt a little muddled overall, and I think the score just amplified that.

Oh, absolutely. And not great thoughts of 30 Rock's really gross storyline along the same lines. Yucko.
